Description

Crispy Cajun‑seasoned fries loaded with gooey cheddar, a tangy spicy‑ranch drizzle, and bright pops of pickled jalapeños and green onions. They come together fast and disappear even faster, perfect for game day, movie night, or anytime a snack attack strikes!

Ingredients

Scale

Fries & Seasoning

  • 1 lb (450 g) frozen waffle fries
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp Cajun seasoning, divided

Toppings

  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ⅓ cup spicy ranch dressing
  • ¼ cup sliced green onions
  • ¼ cup pickled jalapeños, patted dry

Instructions

Heat It Up

  • Preheat oven or air fryer to 425 °F (218 °C).

Season & Bake

  • Spread fries in a single layer on a rimmed sheet or in the air‑fryer basket.
  • Drizzle with olive oil, toss to coat, and sprinkle with ½ Tbsp Cajun seasoning.
  • Bake 20–25 minutes (oven) or air‑fry 15–18 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden‑brown.

Cheese Time

  • While fries are screaming hot, shower them with cheddar.
  • Pop back in for 2–3 minutes (if needed) until cheese melts into every nook.

Finish with Flair

  • Drizzle spicy ranch in a fun zigzag.
  • Top with green onions, pickled jalapeños, and the remaining Cajun seasoning.
  • Serve immediately, bonus points for extra ranch or hot sauce on the side!

Notes

  • Need It Vegan? Swap dairy‑free cheese and plant‑based ranch.
  • Mild Version: Skip jalapeños and cut Cajun seasoning in half.
  • Extra‑Crunch Tip: Warm your serving platter so fries stay crisp longer.
  • DIY Cajun Blend: Mix paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, cayenne, salt, and pepper to control the heat.
