Description

Whip up this creamy dreamy homemade tartar sauce that’s guaranteed to elevate every seafood dish. Bursting with tangy dill, crunchy pickles, and zesty lemon, this sauce comes together in minutes and adds irresistible flavor to your favorite recipes!

Ingredients

Scale

1 cup mayonnaise

¼ cup dill pickles, finely chopped

2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon capers, finely chopped

2 tablespoons white onion, minced

¼ teaspoon salt

¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

Let’s Mix It Up!

In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, lemon juice, and Dijon mustard until smooth.

Add Those Goodies!

Gently stir in finely chopped dill pickles, fresh dill, capers, and minced white onion.

Season It Right!

Sprinkle in the salt and freshly ground black pepper. Give it another gentle stir.

Chill & Serve!

Cover and refrigerate the tartar sauce for at least 30 minutes before serving. Trust me—this makes the flavors even more delicious!

Notes

Mayonnaise Tip: For a lighter sauce, substitute half the mayonnaise with Greek yogurt.

Capers Substitute: Don’t have capers? Chopped olives work nicely too!

Spice it Up: Add a pinch of cayenne or a dash of hot sauce for some heat.
